Retro Gaming Expo Creates Immersive Experience at Anvil Centre (June 22)
The Vancouver Retro Gaming Expo (VRGE) is hosting creators, collectors, and fans in one massive all-day event at New Westminster’s Anvil Centre on Saturday, June 22 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. VRGE features a Vendor Hall and Artist Alley on the main floor, free-play gaming on various consoles, guest panels, and gaming tournaments. Musical performances run all day on the third floor – main theatre with a variety of video music game composers, sound designers, and bands such as Freaky DNA (video game music veteran Leonard Paul) at 12:30 p.m., Pongball (composer and chiptune artist Shannon Mason) at 4:45 p.m. and award-winning Celeste composer Lena Raine at 5:30 p.m. Panels on the fourth floor will take a deep dive into retro gaming and computing worlds on a wide range of topics.Â
