Pet-A-Palooza 2024 Set to Party Poolside in Yaletown (Aug. 25)

Yaletown Dog — Day of the Dog/Pet-A-Palooza takes place on Sunday, Aug. 25 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 1100 Mainland St. in Yaletown between Davie and Nelson Streets. Illustration: BB

Day of the Dog, North America’s largest pet festival, returns to Yaletown on Sunday, Aug. 25, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. This year’s Pet-A-Palooza will feature a 100-foot pool party for dogs, complete with a DJ and cabanas. A variety of activities are planned for canine guests, including a dog pie-eating contest, a superhero-themed photo booth with capes, masks, and a wind machine, the Dogue Fashion Show, and a series of races, including fast dogs (open to all breeds), French bulldogs, corgis, doodles, and wiener dogs. Open registration for races is available through @barkingbabies. Register for the races at the Barking Babies booth on Aug. 25, starting at 11 a.m. They will be beside the race-track at Bill Curtis Park. Top North American pet exhibitors will be present throughout the day at this free, pet-friendly event.
