First Saturday Artist Group Hosting Black and White Exhibition (Aug. 31 – Sept. 8)

Open Studios — First Saturday is a public monthly artist-run open-studio event featuring art spaces around Metro Vancouver and other locations in BC. Check the online list a week before the first Saturday of each month to view the participating artists. Illustration: BB

First Saturday, a monthly artist-run open-studio organization, is hosting a Black & White Exhibition at Parker Street Studios, 320-1000 Parker St. in Vancouver from Aug. 31 to Sept. 8. Opening reception is Friday, Sept. 6 from 5 to 8 p.m. with the exhibition running noon to 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. First Saturday hosts a monthly Open Studio event on the first Saturday of each month featuring art studios around Metro Vancouver and other locations in BC. The next Open Studio takes place on Saturday, Sept. 7, from noon to 5 p.m. For a chance to visit artists where they work, check the website for information on participating artists. Jon is a long-time Metro Vancouver resident where he owns an interior design firm and home design publication.
