Dancing on the Edge Kicks Off with World Premiere from Company 605 (June 13 – 22)

The 2024 Dancing on the Edge Festival opens with the world premiere of Company 605’s latest work, “lossy” on June 13 and 14 at 7 p.m. at Goldcorp Centre for the Arts in the Fei and Milton Wong Experimental Theatre. This year, the festival presents over 30 performances by innovative artists from across Canada at various venues in downtown Vancouver. In a special showcase, DOTE is honouring EDAM artistic director Peter Bingham, one of the pioneers of contact improvisation, with a presentation of EDAM’s “Dead Weighting.” Performances will also introduce the work of new choreographic voices, including Anya Saugstad, Clala Dance Project, and Simran Sachar.
