Diwali Fest Celebrating the Festival of Lights at Several Locations (Oct. 18, 20 and 27)

Diwali Fest’s multipronged festival of lights celebration features events in Coquitlam, Surrey and downtown Vancouver on different days in the coming weeks. This year’s theme is an Ode to Nature with artist Keerat Kaur‘s poster art paying tribute to the natural world. Coquitlam’s Evergreen Cultural Centre plays host to an evening of art, music, and dance on Oct. 18 from 6 to 8 p.m. Surrey City Hall will feature music and dance performances, a Diwali market, food trucks, and arts and crafts displays on Oct. 20 from 2 to 5 p.m. On Oct. 27, the Roundhouse Community Centre will celebrate the festival of lights from 2 to 5 p.m. RSVP online. Events are free or by donation.
