Hounds of Cuchulain Unleash Celtic Tunes at ScotFestBC (June 14 & 15)
Track of the Day:
The Hounds of Cuchulain – “Dirty Old Town“
Victoria’s Hounds of Cuchulain draw on a mix of Scottish, Irish, English and original tunes for their Celtic repertoire. Inspired by hard-partying poetic traditionalists like The Dubliners, The Pogues and The Corries, the band will be making their debut at ScotFestBC this weekend. The Hounds (Wolf Edwards on lead vocals and guitar, Madelaine Townley on vocals, Irish harp and tin whistle, Dexter Simpson on Irish tenor banjo, and Briana Kennedy on fiddle and harmonies) play tonight at 5 p.m. and follow that up with two more shows on Saturday afternoon at 12:30 and 4 p.m. All performances will be on the Big Tent Stage. ScotFestBC (The 92nd British Columbia Highland Games) takes place on June 14 and 15, at Town Centre Park in Coquitlam.
