Monsoon Arts Fest Takes Deep Dive into South Asian Culture (Aug. 10 – 18)

The Monsoon Festival of Performing Arts, presented by the South Asian Arts Society, kicks off with a RAAHI Mehfil concert at Sapphire Estate in Delta on Aug. 10 at 8:30 p.m. featuring the sounds of qawwali, South Asian folk, and semi-classical music. Other events scheduled during the fest include a community writing workshop with Preeti Kaur Dhaliwal at The Cultch on Aug. 14 at 6:30 p.m. and a panel discussion at the Cultch on Aug. 18 at 2 p.m. focusing on The Anandpur Experience, a new immersive theatre production currently being developed by playwright Paneet Singh.
