Pickleball courts may add value to your home – realtors including mention in Vancouver listings

As if we need anything else to increase house values in Vancouver… but apparently, pickleball courts might.

You no doubt have heard read about pickleball this and pickleball that. it’s a fast-growing game in North America. So fast that there’s been a 64% increase in Zillow searches for homes with OR near a pickleball court.

Granted, there’s no empirical data that homes with or near pickleball courts fetch higher offers, but it’s a reasonable inference that if searches for “pickleball” in listings are up, those properties are in higher demand.

I decided to search our version of Zillow, namely Realtor.ca for “Pickleball” mentioned in RE listings. Sure enough, there are currently 7 listings in the Vancouver area where “pickleball” is mentioned.

It appears that some Vancouver area realtors understand just how popular pickleball is that they’re including mention of nearby courts.
