PNE Playland Preparing for Summer Blast Off on May Long Weekend

The Pacific National Exhibition’s Playland opens its Hastings Park gates for summer fun on May 18. The historic East Vancouver site will run on select dates through May and June from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Wednesdays through Sundays in July and August. The highly anticipated new rollercoaster, ThunderVolt, is on track for a launch sometime in July. The three-car train will blast off with 1.3 Gs of acceleration through an illuminated tunnel and go up a steep incline before taking an 18-metre drop. Playland 2024 Season Passes are available with early bird pricing until May 20.
