On its 15th Anniversary, the Bill Reid Gallery is hosting the Raven’s Feast Gala and Art Auction to celebrate the diversity of contemporary Indigenous Northwest Coast Art and honour the extraordinary legacy of its namesake, Haida artist Bill Reid. For more than a decade, the Bill Reid Gallery of Northwest Coast Art has provided support for contemporary Indigenous art through its exhibitions and educational programs. The Raven’s Feast Gala, hosted by Global TV’s Sophie Lui and auctioneer-for-the-evening Fred Lee, will showcase Indigenous art, including Trevor Angus’ Bear and Salmon panel piece, along with a cocktail reception and feast highlighting locally sourced gourmet Indigenous food and wine. The event takes place at the Bill Reid Gallery of Northwest Coast Art, 639 Hornby Street, on Thursday, June 6 from 6 to 10 p.m. Tickets are $400.
