If you thought summer was done with fireworks, think again. New Westminster is hosting the Farewell To Summer Fireworks Festival on Saturday, Aug. 24, from 3 to 10 p.m. Set on the shores of the Fraser River at Westminster Quay, the event will feature artisan market vendors and exhibitors, a beer garden with live performance stage and fireworks show by Celebration Fireworks at 9 p.m. Prime viewing locations include Westminster Pier Park, Front Street Parkade, Park Royal Park and Surrey’s Brownsville Bar Park.
