Richmond’s Gateway Theatre is presenting Touchstone Theatre’s production of Kat Sandler’s Yaga from Oct. 24 to Nov. 2. The production has been described as part thriller, part comedy, part fairytale nightmare wrapped up in the “razor-sharp feminist wit” of the playwright. Cast members Colleen Wheeler, Aidan Correia, and Genevieve Fleming shine in the show, which has fun with its folk roots reimagining the Slavic wicked witch Baba Yaga. Directed by Jessie Award winner Roy Surette, the Oct. 30 performance will also offer a special pierogi dinner in celebration of Ukrainian culture with $20 pre-show meals provided by Old Country Pierogi.
