Westham Island Herb Farm Opens Its Gates for a Day at the Farm (Sept. 7)

Westham Island Herb Farm is hosting a Day at the Farm on Saturday, Sept. 7, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Since 2007, the annual event has given visitors the chance to learn first-hand about life on a farm in the Fraser River Delta. Organized in partnership with the Delta Farmland & Wildlife Trust, the event will feature hay wagon tours, a live music stage, petting animals, a “potato dig,” chef demonstrations, food trucks, and baking contests, as well as the opportunity to experience a unique farming environment. Visit the Trust’s website for more information and to enter the homemade baking and jam contests. Registration is provided online. Access to Westham Island is via a one-lane bridge. No pets are permitted on the working farm. Westham Island Herb Farm is located at 4690 Kirkland Road, Delta, BC. Entry is free or by donation.
