Burrard Bulletin is a free email, five days a week, on what’s worth doing from the city, across the North Shore and up the Sea to Sky. Events, culture, trails, food and drink and the weekend plan, with every date and price checked against the source.
Who’s behind it
A small team that lives on the North Shore and spends its weekends up the corridor.
Founder and Publisher
Jon Dykstra
Jon splits his time between three bases: home in North Vancouver, a cabin up Indian Arm and a condo in Whistler. Most weeks he’s bouncing between them, which means a lot of time on the Sea to Sky and around Indian Arm, and a running list of places, events and food stops worth passing on.
Burrard Bulletin is where that list goes. Jon started it to showcase as much of what Vancouver and the Sea to Sky have to offer as one email can hold, and to do it properly: every event links to the organizer’s own page, and every issue is checked before it goes out.
Jon holds a law degree (LLB) and an MBA, and has built and run online publications for years. He edits every issue.

Dates, times and prices come from the organizer’s or operator’s own page, and each one is checked again before an issue is sent. If we can’t confirm it, it doesn’t run.
