Vancouver Highlanders Launch Rugby Summer Series (June 28)

The Vancouver Highlanders, a new Lower Mainland pro rugby team, launch their first season this weekend with the inaugural Rugby Player’s Challenge Summer Series at the Burnaby Lake Rugby Club. The five-match series features teams from Germany, Brazil, and Barbados, along with Rugby Canada national squads. The series kicks off Friday, June 28, with Highlanders teams playing a double-header against the Canada Selects at 4:30 p.m. and Barbados at 7 p.m. Admission to the debut fixtures is free. On July 20, the Highlanders face Germany, with a Brazil match set for August 3. The series finale on August 17 will match the Highlanders against the Canada XV national team.
