Breakfast with the Bears sessions have returned to Grouse Mountain this summer on select dates after a four-year hiatus. Visitors are invited to observe resident grizzly bears Grinder and Coola at their morning feeding time and learn about bear conservation from wildlife experts. The two 23-year-old male bears came out of hibernation in April and were started on a diet of iceberg lettuce. Once they’re acclimatized out of their winter sleep, they dine on an assortment of veggies. The breakfast buffet for human guests in the Grizzly Lookout is more wide-ranging and features a variety of continental and hot food options. Breakfast with the Bears July and August dates are on Wednesdays through Sundays. Book online and meet at the Base Plaza, outside of Starbucks, at 8 a.m. Call Guest Services at (604) 980-9311 to book dates in September.
