Shot inside Grimey’s neighbourhood one-stop record shop in East Nashville, Maren Morris’ new cover of Billy Idol’s “Dancing with Myself” is a sublime portrait of an artist looking to mix things up. Currently working on a new album with producer Jack Antonoff, Morris recently told the LA Times the project is all about opening doors and finding new perspectives. “There’s a lot of things going on musically in it … It’s so fun, and I feel like my old self back in this space of writing songs I love with people I love.” Morris brings her RSVP Redux Tour 2024 to the Queen Elizabeth Theatre on June 3, with Allison Pontheir opening the show.
