Track of the Week:
Teddy Thompson – “A Picture of Me (Without You)

Singer-songwriter Teddy Thompson, son of British folk-rock legends Richard and Linda Thompson, has had a lifelong passion for American country music. His take on George Jones’ “A Picture of Me (Without You)” leads off his latest album, My Love of Country, a soulful tribute to classic Nashville recordings. Not stopping there, he covers even more Nashville on another new album, Once More: Jenni Muldaur & Teddy Thompson Sing the Great Country Duets, exploring some iconic duets. In his current live shows, Thompson has been known to include one of his parents’ songs (such as the sublime “I’ll Regret It All in the Morning”) in a setlist that features tunes from the likes of Charlie Louvin, Buck Owens, and Ernest Tubb. Thompson plays a Rogue Folk Club gig at Mel Lehan Hall at St. James Community Square on Sunday, June 16, at 8 p.m. Tickets are $30 in advance.
