Whistler Gears Up for Crankworx Mountain Bike Festival (July 19 – 28)
Whistler hosts the grand finale of the 2024 Crankworx World Tour with its annual 10-day mountain bike festival from July 19 to 28. There is something for every level of rider, with events scheduled in pro, amateur, and kids categories. The elite-level competition opens with training sessions and finals for three downhill events: the RockShox Canadian Open DH on Sunday, July 21, followed by the Garbanzo DH on Tuesday, July 23, and the AirDH on Wednesday, July 24. All DH sessions occur in the Whistler Mountain Bike Park, except for the RockShox Canadian Open DH, which is set for Creekside. Head-to-head racing begins on Thursday, July 25, with the Specialized Dual Slalom kicking off a series of events scheduled through the second weekend. The best Slopestyle athletes in the world convene in the Boneyard for the Red Bull Joyride, with the finals on Saturday, July 27. Check the Crankworx website for the complete schedule.
