Cloverdale Rodeo and Country Fair Set to Party Through May Long Weekend
The Cloverdale Rodeo and Country Fair has been held in some form or another for more than a century. The fair was first held at Surrey Municipal Hall in September 1888, while the rodeo launched in 1945. The two events were combined into an annual May long weekend shindig at the Cloverdale Fairgrounds in 1996. This year, the four-day event will host five pro rodeo performances, accompanied by a full-blown country fair featuring a country music festival (including 54-40 on Sunday night), a feast of food trucks, and 30-plus carnival rides. Kids under 12 get in free.
